Today has been a productive day and it is only 1:45 p.m.! I decided to clean out the extra bedroom that my pilot husband uses as his "crash pad" (more like trash pad). He comes and goes so often that he rarely hangs clothes and isn't even certain what fits him and what doesn't. Since he is such a wonderful husband in so many other areas, I have let this slide for a longer time than I ever have in the past. What a mess! The room has served as a room for our boys, a room for our girl, a guess room, a craft room and now the junk room.  If has Kelly Green colored walls with a sky blue top portion on which I sponged some fluffy white clouds. I had hoped to go all out and make a totally new room but instead ended up saving a lot of money! At first I thought I'd just find some cute border and cover the Thomas the Tank Engine, Disney Princess, and lighthouse themed borders that are layered on in gobbly gook. Tahdah! In browsing craft ideas I remembered I had a lot of vintage wrapping paper from my 94 year old stepfather's attic. I picked out my favorites and push pinned it over the old border and now I have a ton of inspiration all around when I use the room for my crafts! I love it! Move over, daddy, mama is taking over.

This is my entry for Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge 120: I love this stamp!

Saturday, March 10, 2012

I'm pretty sure I'll use this to enter Kraftin' Kimmie's latest challenge....to CASE a card created by one of the Krafty Girls. I had so much fun entering yesterday for the first time, and I was the random winner! I love Kraftin' Kimmie stamps! The other supplies are from Stampin' Up! which is another of my favorite companies.
